Der GEIST allein hat Stimme

Auf den Tag genau vor 72 Jahren, am 27. Mai 1952, hält Dr. Bayne in Pretoria, Südafrika, eine Lesung namens "The Spirit Alone Has Voice“ (Der GEIST allein hat Stimme) zu seinem posthum veröffentlichten Buch "The Word of Creation" (Das Wort der Schöpfung), Lesung 7, Band 2. Von diesem Vortrag gibt es eine 54 Minuten und 40 Sekunden lange Tonbandaufnahme in sehr guter Tonqualität. Es handelt sich bei dieser Lesung zweifellos um eine der bedeutendsten aufgezeichneten Lesungen von Dr. Bayne. Der zuvor ausgegebene Lesungstext ist in normaler Schrift dargestellt - und was er abseits dieses Textes sagt, ist in kursiver Schrift dargestellt. Dr. Bayne beginnt seinen Vortrag wie folgt:

Exactly 72 years ago to the day, on 27 May 1952, Dr Bayne gave a lecture called "The Spirit Alone Has Voice" in Pretoria, South Africa, on his posthumously published book "The Word of Creation", Lecture 7, Volume 2. 54 minutes and 40 seconds of this lecture are recorded on tape in very good sound quality. This lecture is undoubtedly one of the most important recorded lectures by Dr Bayne. The previously issued lecture text is presented in normal font - and what he says apart from this text is presented in italics. Dr Bayne begins his lecture as follows:

[00.53] Unsere Sprache ist eines der großartigen Wunder der Schöpfungen Gottes. Die Kombination von Gedanken und Worten drückt aus, was im Kopf des Menschen vorgeht. Haben Sie jemals über das Mysterium nachgedacht, wie Ihr Denken zur Sprache wird, wie Ihr Gehirn, Ihre Stimmorgane, Ihre Kehle, Ihr Mund, Ihre Zähne und Ihre Zunge ins Spiel kommen, um Ihr Denken in Form von Klang-Wörtern zum Ausdruck zu bringen?

[00.53] Speech is one of the great marvels of God’s creation. The combination of thoughts and words express what is in the mind of man. Have you ever thought of the deep mystery of how thought becomes speech, how the brain, vocal organs, throat, mouth, teeth and tongue come into play to express a thought in the form of sound-words?

[01.25] We speak, we utter a sound. Do we realise what happens when we utter a sound? How the whole body, even the chest, the lungs, the brain, the nerves, the mouth, the tongue, the teeth, everything moves in absolute precision, to produce the word. The thought becomes the word in form. The thought that is travelling at a high rate of 186 thousand miles per second, is reduced to sound, a rate of 700 miles per hour, so that you can hear the hought in the word. That is what is happening now, the Spirit alone has Voice. The Spirit alone creates the Word. Nothing else can create a word, except the spirit. There is no other form, no other power that can create the word, or the voice, but the Spirit, and the Spirit alone has Voice. That is the Creative Power of the Spirit—the thought and sound.

[02.44] Eloquenz bedeutet die Fähigkeit, Worte auszuwählen und ihnen mittels eines lebendigen Tonfalls Harmonie und Rhythmus zu verleihen. Denken Sie an die Macht von Worten, die speziell ausgewählt und durch eine Stimmpersönlichkeit verkörpert werden, die millionen Menschen bewegen kann – Worte, die tief in die Seele eindringen und das menschliche Herz zu einer Reaktion bewegen, wie nichts Anderes es vermag.

[02.44] Eloquence is the skill of selecting words giving them harmony and rhythm through a voice-tone that is vibrant. Think of the power of words specially selected and expounded through a voice personality that can sway millions. Words that sink deep into the soul to stir the human heart into a response that nothing else can.

[03.18] Hier sehen wir also eine Stimme des GEISTES. Und es hängt von der Erleuchtung des Einzelnen ab, ob er wortgewandt oder unwissend zu sprechen vermag.

[03.18] Here we see then, a Voice of the Spirit. And it is according to the enlightenment of the individual that enables that person to speak with eloquence or with ignorance.

[03.34] Weisheit ist ein Geschenk Gottes. Und wer Weisheit wünscht, kann sie bekommen, er braucht nur um sie zu bitten und er wird sie erhalten. Wer aber falsch bittet, wird die Weisheit, die dem Wort des GEISTES wahren Ausdruck verleiht, nicht erhalten, denn der GEIST selbst ist weise.

[03.34] Wisdom is a gift of God. And he who wants Wisdom can get it, he only has to ask and he shall receive. But those who ask amiss, shall not receive the Wisdom that gives true expression to the Word of the Spirit because the Spirit Itself—is Wisdom.

[03.55] Wo sieht man heute noch Weisheit auf der Welt? Werden heutzutage viele weise Worte gesprochen? Es ist tatsächlich so, dass die Menschen den Mechanismus nicht kennen, den Gott erschaffen hat, um sich selbst Ausdruck zu verleihen. Der Mensch aber ergriff den Baum der Erkenntnis von Gut und Böse; und er hegt, pflegt und mehrt jenen Baum zum Schaden der gesamten Menschheit.

[03.55] Where do you see Wisdom in the world today? Are there many words of Wisdom spoken in the world today? The secret lies in the fact, that they do not know the mechanism that God created for the purpose of expressing Himself. But man has taken hold of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and is beginning to expound that Tree to the detriment of the whole of humanity.

[04.30] Niemand hat bisher die großartige Wahrheit des einen Baumes des Lebens erkannt, dessen Wurzeln in Gott hineinreichen. Und nur sehr wenige Menschen klammern sich an diesen Baum, der die Rettung der Welt verheißt.

[04.30] No one has yet seen the great Truth of the One Tree of Life, that has its roots in God. And very few have clung to this which is the salvation of the world.

[04.46] Denn die Menschen befinden sich stets in dieser Duplizität von Gut und Böse. Der Baum, von dem gesagt wird, „dass man von seiner Frucht nicht essen soll, weil man ansonsten in seiner eigenen Unwissenheit stürbe“, ist der Baum, der aus dem Geist des Menschen erwächst. Und damit hat sich der Mensch selbst in seine heutigen Schwierigkeiten gebracht.

[04.46] But people are always found in this duplicity of good and evil. The tree that you are told, “that you are not to eat the fruit thereof, unless you die in your ignorance,” that tree that grows out of man’s mind. And by doing so, man has led himself into the trouble he is in today.

[05.11] Aber das Wunder wird sich ereignen. Merken Sie sich dieses: Der GEIST allein, der eine Stimme hat, wird sprechen, und der Ewige wird wieder gehört werden. „In den Herzen der Menschen spricht der Ewige.“ Dieser großartige Ausspruch ist wahr und wird sich in den Köpfen der Menschen manifestieren, wenn sie herausgefunden haben, dass sie mit dem Baum der Erkenntnis von Gut und Böse verführt wurden.

[05.11] But the miracle will take place. Mark you this, the Spirit alone that has Voice shall speak and the Eternal shall be heard once more. In the hearts of man, the Eternal speaks. That great saying is a Truth that shall manifest in the minds of people, when they have found out, they have been carried away with the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

[05.49] Großartige Errungenschaften und Fortschritte sind Denk-Wort-Ausdrücken zu verdanken. Die mächtige Kraft eines Wortes kann eine Nation aus ihrer Mittelmäßigkeit erheben und sie zu einer Nation machen, die für eine großartige Sache steht. Jesus war ein Meister des Denk-Wort-Ausdrucks und er hat ein paar Fischer in die größten Wortkraftmaschinen der Welt verwandelt.

[05.49] Great achievements and progress are bound up in the thought-word expressions. The mighty power of a word can change a nation from a mediocre nation into a champion of a great cause. Jesus was master of hought-word expression, he also turned a few fishermen into the greatest word power machines the world has ever known.

[06.21] Und in der Tat kann jeder von Ihnen zu einer dieser Wortkraftmaschinen werden, um die Wahrheit des Lebens selbst zum Ausdruck zu bringen und um alles zu erkennen, was falsch ist. [...]

06.21] And in fact, each and every one of you can become one of these word power machines for the expression of the Truth of Life Itself, to discern all the things that are false. [...]
