Anfrage weiter, nämlich, ob Dr. Bayne während seiner Zeit in den USA mit dem Autor Baird Thomas Spalding zusammengetroffen sei. Antwort: Darüber ist uns derzeit nichts bekannt, weder aus Zeitungsartikeln noch anderweit oder gar aus Dr. Baynes Lesungen, die er des öfteren mit biographischen Details zu schmücken pflegte. Wer dahingehend forschen möchte, möge berücksichtigen, dass Dr. Bayne in den frühen 1920er Jahren und in den Jahren 1938/39 die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika bereiste, doch dazu an anderer Stelle mehr.

Answer: We currently know nothing about this, neither from newspaper articles nor otherwise or even from Dr Bayne's readings, which he often used to embellish with biographical details. Leon neigt zu dieser Vermutung, weil, wie er sagt, Wallace D. Wattles bisweilen ganz genau so wie Dr. Bayne klingt, insbesondere in seinem Buch, "The Science of Getting Rich", Erstveröffentlichung im Jahre 1910 durch Elizabeth Towne Publishing New York.

Wattles knew each other or met. Leon is inclined to think so because, as he says, Wallace D. Wattles sometimes sounds exactly like Dr Bayne, especially in his book "The Science of Getting Rich", which was first published in 1910 by Elizabeth Towne Publishers in New York.
Antwort: Es ist tatsächlich erstaunlich, wie Wallace D. Wattles seine Botschaft nahezu durchgängig mit solch einer Bestimmtheit vermittelt, wie wir sie von Dr. Bayne kennen. Es ist meines Erachtens absolut bemerkenswert, wie nahe Dr. Bayne und Wallace D. Wattles einander in ihrer jeweiligen Lehre sind - bisweilen hat es wirklich den Anschein, als würden sie denselben Stil in der Wortwahl, in den praktischen Beispielen und in der Gesamt-Gestaltung eines Buches verfolgen ... aber das ist absolutes Niemandsland, denn wo war Murdo im Jahre 1910? Er war damals 23 Jahre alt ... übrigens, niemand behauptet an dieser Stelle, einer der beiden Autoren hätte den anderen beeinflusst. Aber die Ähnlichkeit ist wirklich verblüffend, wenngleich die Beiden durchaus andere Vokalbeln für dieselbe Botschaft verwenden ...
Answer: It is indeed amazing how Wallace D. Wattles conveys his message almost universally with the kind of determination we know from Dr Bayne. It is absolutely remarkable, in my opinion, how close Dr Bayne and Wallace D. Wattles are in their respective teachings - at times it really does seem as if they follow the same style in their choice of words, practical examples and the overall design of a book ... but this is absolute no man's land, because where was Murdo in 1910? He was 23 years old at the time ... by the way, no one is claiming at this point that either author influenced the other. But the similarity is truly astonishing, even though they both use different vocabulary for the same message ...
